Albert Milton Foundation – AM640+ Charity Event

AM640+ Charity Ride Summary

Date: September 21st-24th, 2026

Route: Jwaneng to Maun

Duration: 4 Days

From 21–24 September 2026, cyclists took on an extraordinary journey from Jwaneng to Maun, covering more than 640 kilometres across Botswana.

The AM640+ Charity Ride brought together cyclists, partners, sponsors and supporters for more than just a test of endurance. It was a purpose-driven journey aimed at creating meaningful community impact, supporting initiatives for underprivileged children in remote communities and encouraging the development of youth cycling talent through the Albert Milton Foundation.

Starting in Jwaneng, riders travelled north through some of Botswana’s remarkable landscapes before reaching their final destination in Maun.

The 640+ km route was completed over 4 days, taking cyclists from Jwaneng to Maun, with each stage bringing its own challenge and and unforgettable experiences across Botswana’s diverse landscapes.

Each stage brought its own challenge, but every kilometer carried the same purpose, which is, using cycling to bring people together and contribute towards stronger communities.

The AM640+ Charity Ride represents the Albert Milton Foundation’s belief that sport can be a powerful vehicle for positive change.

Through initiatives such as the AM Cycling Challenge, the Foundation combines community development, youth empowerment through sport and the promotion of sports tourism in Botswana. These areas form part of the Foundation’s broader work to create opportunities and lasting impact within communities.

Ahead of the main challenge, cyclists, partners and supporters came together for the AM640+ Charity Ride Pre-Ride Activation.

The activation created excitement around the upcoming journey, connected the people behind the initiative and set the tone for the four-day challenge ahead.
